This umbrella anchor arrived very quickly and was well packaged. My husband recessed it into the decking so it would sit flush with the deck boards. He needed to add some blocking under the deck and he used 5.5 inch structural screws to anchor it to the deck underpinning’s. It worked very well and feels rock solid. Previously we had a 30 inch square thick plastic anchor which was so bulky you couldn’t slide chairs out on that side of the table.
