Great Looking mount. However, I did not get the flagpole yet as it was lost in shipment the first time. A long wait.

The only reason I did not rate this as a 5 is I think it would be nice to have a drain hole in the bottom of it and a locking screw to lock it in place once it is screwed together. Otherwise it is a very sturdy/heavy duty holder. Even with a snug fitting flag pole I think water will seep into it and keep the bottom of the pole damp. We are not using it for a flag pole but rather as the support for a ten foot, 1 1/4" pipe that we string lights from to make a "Christmas Tree" in December. In the spring we mount a purple martin house on top of the pole. I drilled my own hole in it otherwise the holder will fill with water and will set there and stagnate.

Everything looked good until we had a 30 mph wind. The pole broke.
