These mats are inexpensive, lightweight, easy to put together, and look just fine! They provide a nice cushion underfoot. I am an artist, and these are perfect to protect the floor from spills and splatters and to provide cushioning while I'm standing at the easel. I also use them in my home gym, where they provide extra cushioning and protect the floor from dings from dropped weights.
