My four year old enjoys building with this set and it was a perfect activity for his monkey themed birthday party! It was the only activity one of his friends wanted to do!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never heard of Gears! Gears! Gears! Movin' Monkeys till I received it in the mail. My kids loved it and so did I. This game is hours of fun and creativity. There are no rules and you can places the trees anywhere you like. It is great for pre schoolers. It is colorful and the monkeys are adorable. I would recommend this game to all my friends. It is just too much fun.

I have never heard my daughter giggle so much from a toy. She literally shrieked with excitement when we turned the gears and saw the monkeys moving around the set. The monkeys climb a rope and twirl around trees, which for a preschooler, is loads of fun to watch. My daughter and I worked together to construct the set. While it is much too complicated for a preschooler to put together by themselves, there is great learning value in having the preschooler identify which piece (size, shape, color) goes next in the sequence. There are several individual "sections" of varying complexity. By the third section, my preschooler caught on to the general pattern and scheme of construction and was able to hand me the proper pieces. The pieces were difficult, however, to snap together and the instructions were very small and so it was often hard to discern the placement of the gears. Be prepared for it to take some time to put together as well. The toy would probably be best for an elementary age child if wanting the child to construct on their own. Nonetheless, there is great learning value in this toy even for a preschooler and loads of fun and giggles. Please note that I received this product as part of an incentivized review program.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My four year old son and seven year old daughter and myself played with this toy when we initially received it. The instructions are a little unclear to build the "main project" so we changed it up and were building our own play set. Both children really enjoyed it. We have played with it a bunch of times since. My daughter even had a friend over last night and they played with it for an hour! It's a very fun toy that I would recommend. I have never heard of this toy prior to receiving it, but we were excited to try it. It's somewhat similar to other group play sets we have but my kids really enjoy it. I would purchase this item if we didn't already have it and would recommend it to other parents.
