This chair is quite attractive, well made, and could work well for many, but it's not for everyone—hence 4 stars. We evaluated this chair for use in a multi-age educational setting, and found that many complained that the chair was uncomfortable after sitting in it for more than 15-20 minutes. We believe that age and weight play a part in this complaint, but we're looking to put a couple hundred chairs in our auditorium, so general comfort and acceptance are a must. If you're average weight or younger, this is a nice, inexpensive chair. Go for it. If you have a mixed bag of users, look for something a bit more ergonomic or padded.

These chairs are both smooth and sturdy, making them an excellent choice for classrooms. Their substantial weight prevents students from rocking back and forth, reducing distractions and minimizing potential safety hazards.
