Bed was relatively easy to assemble. I was scared that the hydraulic system was damaged, but it is not you just have to put a mattress on top in order for it not to spring up abruptly. Looks gorgeous

I was also pleasantly surprised that it came with fabric for the floor of the storage area, which helps protect anything stored underneath.
