I have 2 very large German Shepards that have their own couch in my living room. The cover I had was very worn out and after years of both human, cat and dog use, I knew exactly the qualities I was looking for in a cover. Now that the couch is mostly used by a 140lb dog and a 100 lb dog, the 800 GMS Ultra-Thick Chenille is perfect. After 2 months of use so far, not a tear or a puncture from tooth or claw! And I love the Non-Slip Silicone Backing. It really stays put! I don't have to readjust or tuck it back in all day long. Between moving around, back and forth and up and down that dogs do you will really appreciate this feature. Also the cover washes up really well in the machine. I was a bit leary at first about the bit of fring on the end beginning to fray. But that hasn't happened. I've run it through the dryer when needed as well. I bought the light grey/white stripes because it matches my decor. It does get dirty from the dogs. But cleans up nicely with plain laundry detergent.
