I had high hopes for this Hubbardton Forge pendant, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed when it arrived. I originally believed the shade was made of glass, only to discover later that it was acrylic. What surprised me even more was that the shade wasn't even a solid piece of acrylic. Instead, it was a flimsy, flexible sheet of plastic formed to resemble a traditional shade. For a light fixture costing nearly $1,400, I expected much better quality. On the positive side, the metalwork is beautiful, and the hardware and other components appear to be very well made. Unfortunately, the shade really detracts from the overall quality and appearance of the fixture. Additionally, the pendant is simply too small to make a statement over my 70-inch dining table. I could see these working well over a kitchen island or bar, where multiple pendants could be installed together. However, given the price, purchasing several would be a significant investment that I don't believe is justified by the overall quality. I really wanted to love this fixture, but for nearly $1,400, it fell far short of my expectations. Beautiful metalwork, but a disappointing shade and poor overall value.

Amazing design and craftsmanship! I couldn't have asked for more and can't wait to hang this up in our living room/main den. So beautiful!
