The fan is excellent. However, the product development team should add a function to the fan-light remote control to switch the fan rotation direction (summer-winter). This fan requires you to climb a ladder (for high ceilings), remove the light cover and flip the fan rotation-direction switch. There is no remote control function to do this. Also, it would be a nice feature to be able to dim the light or change the color of the light from the remote.

I bought several of the Anisten 52" fans to update some of our current somewhat dated-looking Hunter fans that were about 22 years old. They still functioned fine, we just wanted to freshen the look. So far I have only installed the one in our bedroom but we are very disappointed. I would not say that the fan is loud, but it is not quiet enough for a small bedroom with 8' ceilings. There is a definite hum with the fan at any speed. Probably many would be able to ignore it but it is annoying for us. We have had several Hunter fans over the last 30+ years and this is the first one to make this much noise. I know that many cheap fans make noise but I was really hoping that the Hunter quality that we've had in the past would continue. I'm sad it has not. Another issue. The description says that it comes with a 3" down rod. We have 8' ceilings so I went ahead and ordered the 2" down rods. Turns out, it comes with a 2" down rod. So that was a waste of ten bucks (and I bought four in total). Lastly, I had seen complaints about the plastic light globe and I agree that it really detracts from an otherwise very clean design. It would be MUCH better with a frosted glass globe like some of our previous Hunter fans. Additionally, the globe does not do a good job of dispersing the light. You can very clearly see where the two LED bulbs are and dark spots surrounding them. On the other hand, I appreciate that the fan uses common, screw in bulbs that can be replaced.

I've used Hunter/Casablanca ceiling fans for over 30 years; had 5 at my previous home, and they were workhorses. Durable, silent, no wobble, moved a ton of air. I downsized to an apartment and ordered 3 white Anistens and had an electrician install them. They are... okay. They don't actually move much air on medium. They are not nearly as powerful motors as my previous Hunters. There's a quarter inch gap between the light fixtures and the motor housing (you can see it in their photos too). Overall, they're only so-so plastic-y ceiling fans, fine for what they do but not powerful at all. Hunter's quality isn't nearly what it was, part of the general enshoddification of consumer goods, where consumers pay more for poorer quality.

Installed three of these in our bedrooms. They work great!

I did think the globe was glass but it’s plastic. Also, it does seem to hum loudly.
