Can’t speak about the installation since my contractor did that, but it looks great. There is no glass at the base, so the plastic light diffuser looks fine from far away but makes it seem a little cheep.

Love this light so much I bought 2! Its perfect for our guest bedroom and office. It looks sophisticated yet stylish and leaves plenty of room overhead. Perfect amount of light that is not too bright or too dim.
