This light is perfect for low ceilings where you don't have alot of head room. I installed it on a 6 foot ceiling and it hangs roughly 2 inches below the ceiling. You need to provide your own light bulbs which was fine. I purchased some LED decorative bulbs that were not large and dimmable. This works perfectly for my needs
