No disappointment here. Top quality, nicely finished edges - - - I am positive these will pass down to future generations. There was a need for a quality looking layer to place on my furniture to protect the wood from an acoustic sound system. Two shelves so I ordered two placemats. Great size, absorbent in depth for weight of item and the mats assisted in utilizing current furniture in a smaller space. The color blends with several wood finishes.
