I love this ceiling light! I was looking for a schoolhouse-style fixture for the master bedroom in my Craftsman house, but I wanted something that felt a little more updated than a traditional schoolhouse light. This was exactly what I had in mind. It has all the character and charm of the classic style while still looking fresh and current. The black finish is beautiful and works perfectly with the other black accents throughout the house. I especially love the clear glass globe. Traditional schoolhouse globes are often opaque, but the clear glass allows this fixture to provide a tremendous amount of light while still maintaining that wonderful vintage-inspired shape. It feels substantial without overwhelming the room, and the semi-flush design is perfect for a bedroom ceiling. It looks appropriate for the age and Craftsman character of my home without making the room feel like a period reproduction. Beautiful fixture, excellent light output, and exactly the updated schoolhouse look I was hoping for. I couldn’t be happier with it!
