«Parchment Treasue Map», impression

This framed art print is exceptional quality. It fills the wall space beautifully in my office and instantly adds a sophisticated vibe to the room. The level of detail on the map is tremendous; it’s the kind of piece that completely holds your attention and invites you to just stand there and inspect it. The Latin inscriptions add a great vintage look, and after a little digging, I found out the map design dates back to 1630, authored by Dutch cartographer Henricus Hondius as a status symbol for affluent European traders. Having that bit of history hanging on the wall makes this purchase feel very unique.
