My friend is a pharmacist and this reminds me of the old days when they used these.

I really enjoy the color ! It is a nice solid piece and a good size for my kitchen purposes. My one complaint is that the pestle ( grinder ) itself was not polished / finished very well . There are grooves and cracks on the grinding tip and stuff gets stuck in them constantly. I could possibly see it eroding away eventually or breaking because of all the crevices and cleaning etc . But this could just be an issue with my specific piece ... overall , a pretty nice set.
