I love it! It looks like realistic logs during the day. And in the evening the glowing embers and flame effect look very realistic and amazing. I’m do agree with others that the crackling sound is not realistic so we don’t turn it on. The other thing we did was place a small metal can (altoids can) under the back side to lean it forward a little, so the flames shoot higher. That is a personal preference though.

We absolutely love it! It’s so much better in person than we thought it would be and especially for the price. The flames look so good and we love the fact that it has a remote control. I would highly recommend.

Ok I truly hate having to leave this review because as a designer I absolutely LOVE this insert! I ordered my first one in Aug for a fireplace that is not usable and truly enjoyed it for JUST 4 months before the heating element went out! I was so disappointed but loved it enough to realize that , although it was cheaply made aesthetically it was perfect so I ordered three more with the expectation that it would go out eventually but never did I expect the second one to go out in a week!!!!!! This time, the heat element was flickering from the moment I turned it on I could see something that wasn’t right, but I ignored it and then it failed on me one night with two reverse EE’s on the control board as a message! The other two are sitting on my front porch in their boxes, but I gave up because it’s a pain to unboxed something that you know probably won’t work so I called Wayfair and they were exceptional in regards to the return process for this! I’m so disappointed because this is a gorgeous insert and if you’re purchasing it for a place where you don’t really need the heat element but more the aesthetic. The light feature works just great, but just be cautious that the heat element will fail!! Thank you Wayfair for handling the return so effortlessly!
