This does not look as nice in person as it does in the photos. The gray color is much lighter, not a slate color at all, and the whole thing wobbles a bit (it's not very stable). I planted 2 varieties of tomato plants and a handful of herbs, I have had to water from the top twice now - the pull water to the roots system has not seemed to work as of yet. I am giving it a bit more time to see if the roots just need to take hold a but deeper, but as of right now, I would not buy again.

I think these instructions and the manual and everything sucks. These are not screwing screws. There’s no pointy edge so do I need to get a hammer and a nail to first puncture the area of the general area and then hope it aligns with the legs. Those are not screw screws flathead what in the world this is not a mechanic shop this is a six-year-old woman trying to put a planter together.

Another reviewer said they wished they had bought the larger size. I however, wish I bought the smaller size. The planter is so much larger than you expect, although the actual planting area is smaller. I couldn't change the location of my planter because of the larger dimensions. For me, location of the planter is most important. If planting space is most important to you, then by all means get this or the biggest size. I wish the planter were a few inches shorter too, so it would look better on the front porch. Again, it's because of where I placed it, otherwise I would love it just the way it is. I can't say much about the water level indicator because I didn't fill it up enough to make the indicator work. I still plan to water manually, but it's good to know there will be a backup reservoir on hot days.

Love the way it looks and the self-water feature is so helpful.
