The appearance and quality of this fireplace is really something for the price. The assembly is definitely for an intermediate/advanced person. Took about 3 hours total, making sure everything was tightened and fastened right. One person can get most of the assembling done, but you will need a helper to put the two parts of together. There is a "trap door" in the front of the fireplace which is a great spot to hide the remote control or anything you don't want out for people to see. It arrived in two boxes, one weighed 98lbs, so be prepared to get that into your home. I am extremely please with how this came out, and the accent chairs I also bought from Wayfair completed the looked.
