When you put the batteries in, then insert and screw cap, the light doesn’t work. I had to tape the outside of the batteries so that they stayed connected to the terminals

Haven't used outdoors yet but i did place batteries in them to make sure they worked. Seemed ok but it was very difficult to place 1 of the AA batteries in the timer-just so tight. Not fun.
