This chandelier is one of those fixtures thats stunning once its installed. From normal viewing distance it has the upscale, designer look I was hoping for, and it completely changed the feel of the room. That said, there are a few things I really wish Id known before ordering. The good - Looks beautiful once installed. - Makes a big visual impact for the price. - The faux alabaster diffuses the light nicely. The not-so-good Installation takes FAR longer than it should. The biggest issue is how its packaged. Every faux alabaster panel attaches with two small screws. Instead of shipping the screws in a bag, every single screw comes fully threaded into the frame. That means you have to completely remove every screw, position the panel, then reinstall every screw while standing on a ladder because the instructions recommend installing the panels after the fixture is hung. For us, what should have been roughly a 30-minute finishing step turned into hours of repetitive work. Helpful tip A small spring clamp was invaluable. I clamped each panel in place before installing the screws, which kept everything aligned and prevented pieces from slipping while I worked. My second disappointment was the alabaster. The listing describes these pieces as alabaster, so I expected stone. Theyre actually a molded resinplastic material with an alabaster appearance. They still look nice once installed, but I do think the wording in the listing could be clearer so buyers know exactly what theyre getting. One other thing that gave me pause was the wiring. The conductors appear to be a very lightweight, silver-colored wire rather than the heavier copper wiring Im accustomed to seeing in light fixtures. Im not an electrician, so I cant say whether its fully compliant with electrical codes or whether its simply a different type of conductor than Im used to. It may be perfectly acceptable, but it didnt inspire confidence given some of the other quality shortcuts I noticed. I also couldnt find any mention of a UL or ETL safety listing on the product page. If third-party safety certification is important to you, Id recommend verifying that before purchasing. Were using LED bulbs, which draw much less power than traditional incandescent bulbs. Still, the wiring quality was one more detail that made this fixture feel less premium than its appearance suggests. Finally, the gold finish seems very delicate. During installation I noticed it scratches and flakes much more easily than I expected. I cant say with certainty how it will age over time, but it does make me wonder how well the finish will hold up long-term. If I were doing the installation again, I honestly would have considered applying a clear protective topcoat before hanging it to help preserve the finish. Overall, I dont regret keeping it because it really is beautiful once its up. Just go into the project knowing that the installation is much more time-consuming than it needs to be, the alabaster is decorative resin rather than stone, and youll want to handle the gold finish with extra care.

This light is so beautiful and will eventually go nicely as the bathroom fixture but unfortunately, for now, we are still working through some issues. First, the packaging was GREAT! Everything had its own compartment which prevented anything from being broken. So that is a definite plus. However, once you start to go through the directions, you see that they want you to hang the fixture before you put all of the white pieces on it. Considering what I ran into, I do not recommend doing that. Several of the screws did not come unscrewed from the fixture, and are stuck in the fixture. So with those, we will be trying to get them off of the fixture without damaging the screw itself, otherwise the gold portion that actually prevents the stone from sliding off, won’t be able to screw on. In addition, several screws are acting like they are stripped after being unscrewed for the first time. I’m hoping we can figure out a way to get all of these things fixed because I really love the look of the fixture and would love to get it put up correctly.

This light fixture is lovely! It was easy to assemble, but a little difficult to install (just awkward angles and such, plus I did it alone). The fixture is really heavy with the stone panels attached, so be sure you plan to put it in a place with good anchoring.
