Rat Rat Pack

While I absolutely love the image itself, the physical execution of this canvas print leaves a lot to be desired and does not match the online presentation. On the product page, the imagery shows a clean gallery wrap with an appropriate black bleed flowing onto the edges. Unfortunately, the piece I received has a light gray border wrapping around all sides—and it is even visible from the front view, making the entire piece look quite cheap. The Technical Flaw: I purchased the 8" x 10" unframed canvas, and it is perfectly true to size. However, the print layout is fundamentally flawed. To achieve a high-end, seamless look on a stretched canvas, the image needed to be printed at least 3/4” larger on all sides so that the wrap edges were fully covered by the intended background color. The Verdict: Because of this execution error, I find the piece completely overpriced for what it is. I am currently debating whether to return it entirely or salvage it by manually painting the sides a dark color so it looks intentional.
