2025: 3 stars. Re-ordered a few weeks ago and got 2 entirely different planters from the one I ordered in 2024 (pictured with the round green planters). The 2025 version is identical to the ones I ordered elsewhere when they went out of stock on Wayfair. Those rusted and faded, while the original one from Wayfair has held up beautifully. As you can see, they aren’t even the same shade of green. I’m bummed. The first Genter Steel Elevated Planter is deeper and wider and simply more durable. These newer styles are sun-par. See photos to note the differences. 2024: Gave it 5 stars. Love this cute little metal box planter! Right now it’s growing some very happy basil and dill on our deck. I liked it so much I decided to buy 3 more, but they were out of stock. I thought I found them elsewhere but when those arrived they were not at all the same planters. They were a much thinner metal and not as deep. These Wayfair planters are sturdy and sufficiently deep. I wish I’d just waited for them to come back in stock, but I had plant starts that needed homes. Lesson learned. BTW, as others have mentioned here, they come with a thin plastic wrap on every unassembled piece, which certainly keeps them from getting scratched in shipment, but took me about 20 mins to remove it all.

Beautiful planter for herbs or flowers!!

The pieces came individually shrink wrapped in the thinnest of plastic. I could barely get an edge going and I spent a good hour trying to get as much of the sticky, wretched plastic off as possible. I didn’t even try to get it off the legs, though. I understand the manufacturer was trying to keep the pieces from getting scratched, but dealing with that sticky mess was horrible. Then I realized that I hadn’t paid enough attention to the dimensions. I thought I was buying a sturdier replacement for a wooden planter that stands waist high. This is a very short item! It’s probably less than a foot off the ground. It was easy to assemble, so it gets a star for that. It’s really not what I wanted or needed but I’m too lazy to return it. I learned a good lesson, though: always check the dimensions before you buy something!
