These window boxes are exceptionally attractive, perfect for adding your own trim, colors or design. We ordered three, one for the front of our house on which my husband painted freehand Swedish folk art and two for our backyard shed that we painted to match the trim on our house. Compared to many of the window boxes found in garden centers and building supply stores, these at Wayfair are deeper, thereby providing plenty of room for the growth of healthy roots. They tend to be wider, as well, likely giving you ample space for an abundance of trailing blossoms. Our having lived in a small European village for three years while my husband served in the U.S. Air Force probably has a lot to do with our love for window boxes. In our village, it was rare to see a house without several flower-filled window boxes and because we followed the local custom and bought and planted our own as one of the first things we did after unpacking, we think that that may have been part of the reason we were so readily accepted by our neighbors. Window boxes add so much warmth to the appearance of a home; it makes me wonder why the trend hasn’t become more prevalent here in our own country.

Looks great - a nice little addition to an outside window - we painted it to match the outside lentils so a winner.

These are on year two and still holding up well. They need a sand and recoat of sealant. The biggest complaint I have is that the back rail that hooks over the hangar bar warps and needs to be reinforced.
