Presse-ail classique en acier inoxydable 18/10

In my mind, a kitchen appliance or tool that does one job should do it extremely well in order to reserve a spot in my kitchen. I previously had a Trudeau garlic press, which did the job, but not overly well - the rubber hand grip often came off, the finish flaked off in one spot, and I couldn't put it straight into the dishwasher to clean. I thought I had all those concerns fixed by purchasing this garlic press - but I was wrong! This is an overpriced piece of metal that doesn't work very well. When using it, 50% of the garlic goes through the holes and the other 50% go elsewhere; back up the sides of the press, into the y-shaped groove next to the compartment, and don't end up in the food, which is where we all want it. Normally I'd give something like this 2 stars since it's reasonably built but the design of it is just so poor that I wonder how the other reviewers (assuming they're real people) managed to give this 5 stars. Sure, I can throw it in the dishwasher which is better than most other presses, but if it doesn't work that well then cleaning it is the least of my worries. If I could get a refund for my purchase, I would.
