I bought this for my dark hallway that has a low ceiling and I like the brightness and the overall clean lines of the design, but this may be a temporary light as the obvious plastic-yness of the cover detracts from its otherwise nice design. If my ceiling were higher (it's just 8-feet) it would work better as with a little distance, the plastic nature of the cover would not be obvious. It does make a nice visual impact - would just work better on a higher ceiling.
