[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think we all have had the following thought at one time or another. That thought is "lost desk space". Every time I buy a new monitor it crosses my mind. Monitors are great and they are necessary, but boy do they take up real estate on your desk. One solution to this problem is a monitor stand. But what makes a good one? For me I need several things. First on my list is stability. A monitor is expensive and I want to be confident it stays put. Additionally, I need something that is adjustable in height, isn't too big, and looks good. Lastly, it needs to provide me with more useable space on my desk than I had before. The Bostitch monitor stand meets those needs.
It is solid and sturdy holding up to 33 pounds. The stand top measures just over 25 inches long and 8 1/2 inches wide. This is plenty of stable space to fit my monitor. So much so that I can even use what is left over for additional items. The top is made of 5/8 inch laminated wood. It has a smooth surface and is easy to clean. I like the way it looks. I think it has a sleek professional design. It is also adjustable. It has two height options of 3 inches and 4 inches. This is accomplished through two variations of riser extensions. Both with non-slip feet that add to the overall stability of this product. What I find good about the height options are two fold. I get an improved viewing angle of my monitor and I get more useful space underneath the stand top. I can slide my keyboard underneath when I am not using it or I can keep an additional laptop there. That still leaves me with room for two of my external hard drives.
One of my favorite features of this stand is the storage drawer. It measures 12 7/8 inches long by 8 1/2 inches wide. It is about 7/8 inches deep. I keep cords, flash drives, sd cards, and other various items in it. My other favorite feature is the built-in wireless charging pad. It is a quality charging pad that works with all Qi-enabled devices. It keeps my iPhone charged without issue. What is also nice about this charging pad is that it has a non-slip surface that keeps my device in place while charging.
Overall I have found this monitor stand to be useful and practical. It is quality made and is solid. It looks great sitting on top of my desk. It provides me with more room and storage on my desk than I had previously. That is a big plus in my book. I am pleased with this product and I would not hesitate to recommend it.
