This light was a welcome upgrade to a 1967 original fluorescent light that buzzed and hummed and didn't like to turn on every time you flipped the switch. The color and aesthetic work great for our kitchen and I love all the lighting options that work with the remote (warmth, dimming). I got the black/white oak color combo with the intention of trying to use some sort of gel stain to tint the wood tone to appear more like walnut, but it honestly looks good as is, so this attempt has not been a major priority. Very happy with the purchase, to the point where I might get another one for a pantry space.
