Casse-noisette en bois pain d’épice

From a distance the nutcracker looks fine. At closer range, you can tell it was painted poorly. It looks like it a “seconds”, did not meet quality standards. Thinking about how inexpensive it was (compared to the original price listed elsewhere) I shouldn’t be surprised. It has chipped paint, stray paint strokes, incompletesloppy decoration. Some of it I may be able to touch up. Just glad it will be on a mantle so it will be seen from a distance. First pic shows the image from the box. Closeup pics are from the nutcracker I received.
