Light is pretty simple and way overpriced. What we like about the light is the shade is a real nice quality fabric. It is real fabric maybe linen but looks really nice. The base is of decent construction and fairly thick metal. It is just painted bronze. 5 bulbs makes is very bright. What we don't like is the arms and bracket holding the shades is white. You would think you don't see it much but if you are under the light you see this big white circle where the shades bolt up to the light (see photo). So the white basically covers all the bronze in the fixture. It makes it look really cheap and at $300 plus that is not good. The other issue is that arms for each tier have different numbers so you cant line up the arms on the upper tier. It just looks odd. Again take a look at my photos and you decide. I made all three different positions just so it wasn't so noticeable. I was going to paint at least the top bracket but all three tiers of the shade are welded together and you would have to cover and tape off the entire shade. It does come covered in shipping so paint it before removing the plastic.

This light fixture is perfect in our living room! It adds some dimension to the space without hanging too low.
