First order arrived in what appeared to be a box that had already been returned by someone else. Previous labels had actually been cut off the side of the box. When I opened it, it became pretty obvious why it had been returned: the door was broken, the item was filthy (see photos), it was scratched up, and even the lock was rusted.
After spending WAY too much time on the phone, Wayfair sent a replacement.
The second one arrived in another box that appeared to have been previously returned. Amazingly, this one was even worse.
A large piece of the acrylic was broken off, leaving an extremely sharp edge. There was even a string tied off where the previous recipient had identified the damaged area. I came very close to slicing my hand open while removing it from the box. Had I grabbed it literally an inch higher, I could have been seriously cut.
And once again, the item appeared used, with scratches, cracks and additional damage.
So back on the phone I went, this time asking for a refund. And NO, I did not want them to send me a third one.
Then came the final frustration: Wayfair refunded the price of the item but did not refund the sales tax I paid. I have made additional phone calls about that as well and have repeatedly been told the remaining amount would be refunded. It still hasn't been.
Two shipments. Two obviously damaged items that appeared to have already been returned by other customers. Hours spent dealing with customer service. A genuinely dangerous broken acrylic edge. And I still haven't received my full refund.
I would absolutely not recommend ordering this item.
