I read reviews, all positives reviews live up to what customers have said about this recliner. My surgery is two weeks out, I will know more when recovery starts then. In the meantime, I love the small compact size of this Lift remote recliner, fits perfectly within my bedroom space, to where you don't actually realize it's there. I didn't purchase for the message component. A Bonus. I'm 5'8 @ 189 lbs. My grown son helped be set it up, he actually wants this recliner when I'm done with my surgery recovery. He is 6' tall @ 175lbs. He tested this recliner out for two 30 minute message sessions, he did take a non message break for 10 minutes between the 30 minutes due to him reading some low star reviews in reference to the Messager going out. Over all No complaints. True test when I start my recovery.

I was hesitant to buy this after a tummy tuck, but it has been great! This is more petite than many other lift recliners so it fits in my room well. I don't use the massage often, but I use the lift all the time. It lifts me up just enough so my center of gravity shifts forward. I also love that the arms are sturdy, but not too thick. I can wrap my hands around them to help shift or move. I am in this chair many hours a day right now, and have slept in it too. Highly recommended, especially for the price point.

Perfect for our situation

The power mechanism broke after less than 4 months. No manufacturer’s warranty. Unless you buy the protection plan, you’re out of luck. I don’t think a product that costs nearly $400 with taxes should require a protection plan for failure to work in the first place four months. I bought this for my mom’s nursing home room. I didn’t think it would last forever, but I didn’t think I’d be throwing my money away. It’s too bad because it’s a compact comfortable chair. But factor in the cost of the protection plan before deciding to buy.
