I got this to use on the counter under the upper cabinet in the kitchen. Room has partial industrial look. This shelf gave extra room out of the way on the counter and fit well with the other decor.

Generally speaking, this is a good product for its intended purpose of creating a riser for monitors and TVs. We needed it for a TV and it nicely fit on top of the existing stand. It is solid black which complemented the black iron frame of our TV stand. It doesn't look funny sitting on top of another surface. It is designed to hold up to 44 lbs which was adequate for our 43" flat screen TV. This is not a high end product. It has some type of vinyl material laminated over press board. As such, the price was a little high for what you get but it was cheaper than the alternative of starting over with a different TV stand. The package arrived with dented corners on the board which isn't a knock on the product but perhaps of its packaging. The box had very little Styrofoam protection around the edges so that may be a common outcome. It assembled in a snap with the bottom brackets easily attaching to pre-drilled holes. Overall, this product met the need and was a good solution for us.
