Nice compact design that saves desk space, but the counterweight springs are quite strong enough to handle a 30\ monitor. I am using it with one 27\" monitor and a 30\" monitor. The 27\" stays where I put it; the 30\" slowly drops to the desk top with the spring fully compressed."

You can't lower the monitors enough so your not looking up all the time. We had to mount it by drilling through the desk but did not get the base showed in the add for that Application.The mounting pole is way to tall and is in the way of your view If you keep your monitors close together. It is a solid unit but has flaws. Don't know why the other base was not in the box.

The Mount-It MI-43111 Dual Computer Monitor Stand is very sturdy and of great quality. If you do not intend on using the clamp base, you will have to remove the clamp hardware. The picture here shows a symmetrical base which is wrong. The grommet base provided with this model is the same as the clamp base (not symmetrical). You don't actually receive two bases.
