The nutcracker is very cute. Unfortunately instead of putting it inside another box to mail, or at least a bubble-wrap mailer, the original box the nutcracker came in was wrapped in flimsy plastic wrap and arrived with sharp creases, surface dents, and caved corners. (It is a gift or I wouldn't be so concerned about the condition of the box.) The nutcracker was loose in the box; there was no cushioning to protect it, not even tissue paper. I noticed a dot of white touch-up paint on the collar that did not match the rest of the collar. I was also disappointed to learn that it was made in China. Even though the nutcracker is unique, I am disappointed in the quality.

To adorable, cannot wait until next Christmas to set it out on my kitchen counter.
