Enjoying this gingerbread house, blends ?well with my village

Disappointed in quality of products. They don't look like gingerbread. The texture is too smooth and shiny! They look like plastic. The packaging itself, may at point of initial mailing, been strong and intact but arrived in need of reinforcement. The packaging was well worn and heavily taped with crushed interior foam.
