Great looking product cheap made but looks amazing

I like the look of it but I could see the extremely poor installation instructions, design of the lamp itself and lack of some install hardware causing people to return it. As you can see from the photo there is no cutout in the top of the lamp to mate to your electric box. Instead, luckily I had enough extra wire in the ceiling to run through one of the grommets and then use the supplied connector to mate the lamp wires to the house wiring within the fixture itself. There is not enough wire (ground nor the +/- from the LEDs) to route that up through the fixture into the box - so I doubt the connection I made is to code, but I don't know. If this caused a fire and insurance found this review they probably wouldn't cover a claim. Moreover, as also seen in picture 3 anchors/screws are needed to firmly connect the fixture to the ceiling, however only 2 were supplied, along with 2 pointless box screws. I had plenty of spares on hand so this wasn't an issue to me, but just a poor job by the company on this overall, you know? The instructions are basically unreadable, which I'm used to, but they're also hardly applicable to this product and its design. Finally, I would have appreciated if you flip the switch off, leave off for a bit, then turn back on the LED came back on in the shade it was switched off in, if that makes sense. Instead, to get back to the preferred shade one must flip your switch 3 times each time no matter what. This is a little silly and will probably cause premature switch wear. Overall I'm used to some of this kind of silliness with this stuff but this one was a cut above in that department. Hopefully it will stand the test of time of our preferences, otherwise we'll replace and resell down the line.

modern, slim and easy to install. it matched the theme in house and provided great lighting in the process.

Very unique and accents my mid century modern home well. Helpful for ceilings with flat roofs and little attic space.
