The wood is substantial so it needs a better hanger than the one that came with it. The wood background is unfinished. We plan to put a light semi gloss clear coat finish over it even though it is for indoors. First reaction, this could be an awesome table top if you wanted to add legs. Pros: Solid, pretty colors, very unique Cons: Needs a much better hanging system for a wall and I think that type of wood needs a protective coating.
