Impression sur toile tendue Ochre Evening II

This is a very peaceful, pastoral piece that reminds me of the Italian countryside at sunset. I got this and Ochre Evening 1 in 36 inch square size to put over an 88 inch wide The quality is good, they were tricky to hang side by side because they are in a hanging chain, but they look very nice together.sofa

Emma Scarvey is one of my favorite painters. She perfectly captures the layered beauty of what looks to me to be a California hillside landscape (even though I think she's a Brit!). I own 2 prints of her work, this one and another that shows the fog rolling into hills ... It's a dead ringer for what it looks like when the San Francisco fog reaches the Oakland/Berkeley hills where I live. Lovely!

I think this painting is beautiful. It was printed on a twelve by twelve canvas and was prettier than on the website. I am very happy with it.

The colors in this painting are so pretty. And the scale and size of the painting was perfect to balance out a window behind my sofa.
