I LOVE THIS!!! The size is big at 26" wide and I LOVE that! I'm going to build my own white plaster fireplace and now that this has arrived, I can get to work! I love that this is on a stand that gives the illusion of a wrought iron grate (I will most likely end up painting and possibly texturing it to look MORE realistically like wrought iron). I think the logs look pretty good when off or on. I might end up burning some real wood log pieces and putting them around with this to look even more realistic. I don't really prefer that the front has the temp and very electric fireplace look to it with digital displays, but I think once you let it sit at the temp it's at, the display turns black. The remote needs 2 - AAA batteries and it works pretty well, except if you're not directly facing the fireplace. I will test it from my couch when I finally build the fireplace to get it installed all the way. I hope it works ok. It doesn't come with a crackling sound so I bought a crackler off Wayfair to put with it. There is five different flame color settings and five different flame intensity settings. There's a regular orange and yellow flame, a blue flame, a flame that switches between blue and yellow/orange interchangeably, a pink combined with orange/yellow flame, and an "almost burnt out fire" looking flame that's mostly red logs and a low orange sitting-still lighting behind it. For the flame intensity settings, you can make it the brightest in the logs and the tallest/brightest flame at number 5, or the lowest at number 1. And WOW this thing pushes out some SERIOUS heat!! It came programmed to 95 degrees, but I turned that down to 85 degrees and still roasted in just a few minutes of sitting near it! AWESOME!! And just so you know, the heat comes out from the bottom horizontal slatted area, which is great because heat rises. The remote also allows you to lock the settings which is nice if needed. P.S. remember that there's a clear plastic sheet covering the BACK clear section... MAKE SURE to take that off BEFORE turning on your new fireplace! And the plugin side is the RIGHT side of the unit. LOVE IT!
