I think this advent calendar is really pretty and I like that it is nativity themed. However, whoever designed this obviously cut a few corners to keep cost down. When I looked at product images I didn't notice that the plastic light switch for the light is visible (as shown in my photos). It looks kinda trashy. I wish they had put it on the back/outside of the box or figured out a way to hide it behind the wood cutouts. The switch doodad is supposed to be glued onto the wood, but upon arrival, it was already detached, so it kind of just hangs there. Also, there is nothing supporting the advent boxes in the back, so they all tip backwards a little, ruining the aesthetic of the box side a little. Being that it is so close to advent, I am going to keep the calendar and I may try to add something to support the back of the boxes in their closed position and figure out a way to hide the ugly light switch.

So far, a great item. It’ll be set up in the next two weeks but upon arrival, I inspected it and it looks like a nice quality piece. Heavy. The little drawers are quite small but can suffice for a small piece of candy and also money, if you fold it up nice and small.

I absolutely love this. It’s made really well and the carved wood scene is gorgeous! I cannot wait to use this every year with my children and grandchildren.
