Kayaking And Into The River

We live in WNC and were hit by Helene. My bf is a world class kayaker and has had difficulty getting “back on the river” since it was the indirect source of so much destruction. I hadn’t yet installed this piece before the hurricane struck. We were amongst some of the fortunate in that our house wasn’t damaged so I had a wall on which to hang it. When it felt like enough time had past, I put this up on the wall and it has been a reminder of how much more the sport brings than just a bit of exercise. It’s a city nice piece, came as expected and in normal times, might not be considered anything particularly special in its construct. However, it’s poignant to us.
