As cute as the online picture, looks exactly the same. It has a canvas texture, buts it’s hard to the touch front, back and edges. I like that because it makes it feel sturdy and well made. I love this picture! I bought it along with this three tiered shelf also from Wayfair. Not regretting either purchase
