Another beautiful and "tastefully-ornate" piece from Design Toscano. The frame is very ornate with a fine balance between antiquing distress and neatness. The frame can be a center piece in a large hall (though I have it in a smaller space - works well for me there too). The painting itself appears very faithful to Leonardo's piece; heavier-than-original pastel brushstrokes may have been simulated by Toscano as useful embellishment. You can get a sheen if the light is reflecting at a sharp angle - unlike canvas - but appears great from most reflection angles.

Absolutely gorgeous painting.

I receive the printed catalog and this was featured on the cover. I have always admired this work and here was a chance to get a good copy at a "reasonable" price. The printed catalog only gave the dimensions of the total frame, not the work itself. Hence, going by the illustration in the catalog, it looked like I was ordering a framed print with the subject being almost 14X17 inches with a narrow frame around it. When the work arrived after about three weeks waiting, I opened the box to find a massive frame around a slightly smaller than large post card sized image. Very very disappointed. The quality of the item is superb, but for almost $150, the item is way way overpriced
