I have to say first that I love this lamp. However, it came damaged. It was obvious that the lamp was boxed damaged, as the carton was intact when I received it. All the parts were in place and wrapped neatly in plastic and foam. So there is NO DOUBT that the SHADE was put in the box in damaged condition. Thus the 3 rating. Not lower because touch up paint in several areas will fix the damage and should not be noticeable. A very SHADY company would only pack damaged parts and send them as new. Kept the lamp because I have the ability to repair it myself ...
