Supposed to be the firmest mattress available, fails miserably, bed and platform delivered at two different times.

It’s great. I need a very firm mattress for my bad back, and this one is perfect. I have it on the firmer side, which has just the tiniest bit of give at my pressure points, which is exactly what I need. I’ve never paid this much for a mattress before, and I don’t regret it. It’s lived up to my expectations for a seriously firm, orthopedically sound mattress.

The mattress is firmer than most but not as firm as I expected. I have backaches and need really hard mattress that can support my back without sinking. I read on Plank website that I'm supposed to feel like floating on the top of the firm mattress. Unfortunately it is not the case. I feel myself sinking into the mattress after sleeping on the same area for a while even though I am just about 100 lbs. Another issue with the mattress is the heat. This mattress generates more heat than my previous foam mattress. It is a nice feature for the approaching winter. I will have to look for a cooling solution in the summer. Overall, the mattress is okay for now and I can sleep in it without significant backpain next day - and it is too much a hassle to return. But I will not buy it again.

The firm side is great. The extra firm side is a literal plank

I like that the Plank is firm. But it is too hot. and does not receive the pressure points so sleeping on the side is not possible.

i slept on a plank in an airbnb 6 yrs ago and have longed it ever since and now i have my own!! i absolutely am over the moon!

This is the third Plank I have purchased over the years. This one has lasted less than one year. One can’t see noticeable concave depression but it’s definitely felt— to the point that now I need a new mattress— and I’m back to having intense back pain.
