The quilt set appears to be used. There is a red stain on the underside of the quilt. There's a small hole in the edge of one of the shams. Overall, the edges look like they're starting to pill, as if it has been washed and returned. It is also very thin, definitely for decoration and not for warmth.

This comforter is small. I ordered a king size for my king bed and It barely covers the mattress top with a couple inches off each side.
