I have been seeing the term duvet cover but to be honest, I was not exactly sure what it was. I started doing some research and thought how perfect it would be to have one on the grandkids’ beds, so that it could be removed and washed. As much as I tell them not to sit or play on the bed when it’s made, they are constantly on it. Sometimes I find them jumping and of course, rolling around. Many times they are still wearing their shoes. Even though I have purchased a fairly new bedspread for one of the kids rooms, I have washed it numerous times because of them being on the bed with shoes on. Even though it is a new bedspread, it is beginning to show wear. I was hesitant to purchase a new duvet cover until I was sure I would like it. So I opted to order one through the Tried and True program. I did like the concept of having something that would be easily washable, but still have the plush of a nice comforter. Although the print of the comforter is not what I would have picked for children under 10 years of age, I mainly was interested in testing the theory behind a duvet cover. If I’m pleased, I’ll plan to purchase another one for the other bedroom.
