Did I miss where this is plastic and not ceramic?! I must have. It's plastic and that made me sad because I always look for ceramic soap dispensers as they are much sturdier. I will give it a shot and see how it holds up. The color is nice and so that is a plus! Update January 2024: After nearly a year- gave up on this soap dispenser. The pump does not yield a good amount of soap and because it is plastic it is not sturdy when you try to "pump" it. Update: I think because it is plastic it is not real sturdy, and it took forever to get the pump part to work so that soap would come out. It will do for now but will be replacing sooner versus later. Went from 3 to 2 stars.

The problem with this dispenser is that you cannot take the entire top off. Only the dispenser part. Soap gets in between the seam and the top. It's too bad because it is pretty. But now that I've had it awhile, it's looking grody along the seam in the inside and there's no way to clean it.

Honestly purchased this item to arrive at an amount for free shipping! But have been using as a soap dispenser at my kitchen sink. Fits perfectly and looks fine, good quality plactic dispenser.
