Ordered this in brass after trying three other (more expensive) rods. Matching a rod to rings in brass is harder than it should be. The mechanism is very sturdy. Using it in a child's bathroom where tile seams make mounting at a correct height for shower curtains quite difficult. This is a clean, not-too-yellow brass. It close enough in color to not bother me with the Better Homes & Gardens Rustproof Stainless Steel Double Easy Glide Shower Hooks, Brass, Set of 12.

This is a fixed mount, not pressure mount. Not super clear in description.

Nice rod. Used the accompanying hooks for something else and bought the double-sided hooks from Wayfair for ease of adding/removing a curtain with separate liner.

Works perfect in our guest bathroom. Heavy duty and sturdy.

Great quality rod, it matches the rest of the KB brushed brass fixtures I have and I appreciate it comes with the matching rings as well
