Okay, so I thought I would absolutely adore these towels. My husband and I debate quite a bit because I always say I want ultra plush and heavy, thick and soft towels - while he argues that he would like a low-pile stiffer towels. I personally think the thicker and softer the towel is - the more luxurious it feels. So, I obviously thought these fleece towels would feel incredible. And they feel great - they're super thick and soft. However, they definitely feel more like blankets (I guess you could use them that way instead). They don't actually feel like towels, and when you're trying to dry off - it almost feels like it's not really drying you as well as a regular towel would. I don't know how to best describe it - this is a weird analogy, but it almost feels like there's a layer of oil or something between your skin and the towel. What I mean is that there seems to be a feeling that it's just not effectively absorbing the moisture from your body - which is really the most important function of a towel. I will say that a positive thing is that this towel is enormous - which isn't a big deal as the weather gets warmer, but is definitely something I do want when it's freezing when you get out of the shower in the winter months. I think I'll either use it more as a blanket or maybe even for the dogs when they get a bath and I wash the towels afterward anyway so there isn't any need for it to dry quickly. I got the blue color, which is nice - in some of the photos, it looks like they appear gray-ish, but they are a nice blue hue. I also hung a towel on a hook on the door so you can see how incredibly huge it is.
